KuohuFest features a fascinating lineup of independent female producers and artists. The festival fosters genuine encounters and being present in the moment, celebrating creativity and talent flourishing in the heart of the alternative music scene.

As part of the Helsinki Day program on June 12th, Kuohu Records artists Oona Kapari, Blue Impulse, Saaramaija Żórawski, Minttu Hellstén and Mahls will be sharing the same stage for the first time ever. Or should we say "sharing the same room", since this enchanting festival - inspired by "tiny desk" performances - will be held in the living room area of Kuohu Studios. This room can only accommodate 25 people at a time so it will be a very intimate and special evening indeed. To enhance your relaxed experience even more, we are providing a guarded "phone rack", where you are welcome to leave your phone to "rest" during the show. And did we already mention that KuohuFest is free? It is!

The doors: The festival is divided into two concerts and the doors will be closed during the performances. Please arrive early to secure your spot in our special event!

How to get there: Info

The space: The concert will be held in the "livingroom" area of Kuohu Studios. The space can only accommodate 25 people at a time, so remember to arrive on time to secure your spot!

Accessibility: Unfortunately the building is not accessible by wheelchair nor do we have a wheelchair accessible toilet at the studio.

We are committed to being as inclusive as we can, so if there is a way to make this event accessible to you in some way, please don't hesitate to contact us to ask for accommodations.

Filming: The concerts will be recorded and filmed from behind the audience, focusing on artists and musicians, to be used in social media by Kuohu Records and its artists. If you wish not to be seen on the video, please let us know when arriving and we'll make arrangements. We kindly ask you not to take pictures or video during the concerts.

Kuohu Studios is scent-sensitive: Please refrain from wearing or using scented products when visiting Kuohu Studios.

If you come across any kind of harassing or abusive behavior, please contact directly to the harassment liaison at the event or send an email to studio manager Oona Kapari to: oona.kapari@kuohustudios.com. Conversations with the harassment liaison and Oona Kapari in this matter are always confidential. If necessary, the person guilty of harassment or abusive behavior will be removed from the event. 

In 2025 at Kuohu Studios we organized workshops, supporting the artistic and financial development of independent artists and producers as well as networking across boundaries. The events were open for everyone to apply to and diversity was taken into account in everything we did.
